From the Cotton Fields of Mississippi, comes Roy Curry. An HBCU standout at quarterback at Jackson State University, many believed he could've been the first black quarterback in the NFL. Since blacks weren't allowed to play quarterback in the NFL in the 60's, Roy would go on to be a wide receiver in the NFL and then a championship coach at Robeson High School.
